ABOUT THE SHOW:

Neurotic, self-critical film geek Allan Felix has a crisis of confidence when his wife Nancy leaves him and is struggling to get his life back together. Feeling sorry for him, Allan's best friends are Dick and his wife Linda, who decide to help Allan find a new girl and assist him by setting up a string ofdates   These all turn out disastrously, with clumsy, neurotic Allan embarrassingly trying to put across a sophisticated, macho front.

Allan gets help with his love life from an unexpected source. A vision of Humphrey Bogart appears at times, complete with trench coat, cigarette, sexist tough guy dialogue, and the trademark lisp.  Bogart, of course, is a figment of Allan's imagination, inspired by seeing one too many showings of Casablanca.

As time goes by (pun intended) it becomes clear that the ideal woman for Allan may be his best friend's wife Linda!  Dick's lack of attention to Linda confuses her feelings and we're left with a three-way showdown inspired by the love triangle parody of Casablanca's famous ending!
