Costume design for dance is Christine Darch's strongest design passion; she enjoys a prolific collaboration with Julia Adam designing and often building costumes for her commissioned works for companies including Atlanta Ballet, Ballet Arizona, Ballet Memphis, Cincinnati Ballet, Houston Ballet, Oregon Ballet Theater, and San Francisco Ballet.
Christine has designed costumes and sets for acclaimed Sundance films including Grant Barbeito's Ruben, Eric Eason's Manito, and Tony Pemberton's Beyond the Ocean. Her work has been featured in Pointe Magazine and Dance International, and in performance at the galleries of the Rubin Museum.
Christine is presently designing sets and costumes for Jeffery Gall for the Handel oratorio Saul, which will premiere at Montclair's Kasser Theater in April 2007. A new ballet for Julia with Ballet Memphis is in the works, based on the short story, "A Curtain of Green" by Eudora Welty, and will premiere this October (2006).
